Maintenance Supervisor

Job Posting Information

This is a full-time position.

This is responsible technical work supervising, training, and participating in the road maintenance functions within Lancaster County including road maintenance and repair, bridge maintenance and repair, culvert installation and repair, and snow removal operations.

THIS SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION IS SUBJECT TO MANDATORY DRUG TESTING POLICIES AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT.

Overtime required during inclement weather and/or emergency road conditions – weekends and holidays included.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent plus at least 4 years of experience in the supervision of heavy-duty construction and maintenance equipment, and road and bridge maintenance with 2 years of experience operating equipment or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Necessary Special Requirements:
Valid Nebraska drivers license.
Possession of a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or the ability to obtain within 60 days.
Employees must possess and maintain a Highway Superintendent License within 12 months of hire.

Employees must work a least 20 hours per week to be eligible for insurance benefits.

Vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays are prorated for part time employees based upon the hours worked per week.

Temporary, seasonal, and on-call employees are not eligible for benefits.
