Job Description :

Basic qualifications

  • Problem-solving and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of data entry accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to perform essential physical demands, including, but is not limited to: frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting (up to 25 lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, stooping/bending, and reaching.


Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a library or archives setting
  • Experience finding cartographic material (maps, aerial photos, atlases, etc.)
  • Experience conducting an inventory of physical materials
  • Experience shifting and organizing library or archival collections
  • Familiarity with the Library of Congress subclass G (Cartographic Materials) call number system
  • Knowledge of Alma, Google Suites, and basic scanning applications

Pay rate: $17.50/hour

Typical Duties:
Conduct inventory of physical map collection
Search for missing items and perform item-based problem-solving
Assist with collection shifts, shelving, and filing
Provide back-up and answer basic reference questions at a library service point
