The Montana Department of Revenue administers almost 40 state taxes, property appraisals, alcoholic beverage laws, cannabis laws, and unclaimed property for the state of Montana. The Information Management and Collections Division serves Montana citizens and businesses through processing tax returns, refunds, and payments timely and accurately, integrating improved technology to enhance the user experience, increasing electronic filing, resolving overdue debt, and collection other state debt.

DUTIES
Job Overview:
This position resides in the Other Agency Debts Program of Department of Revenue. Duties include coordinating the ongoing planning, process analysis, development, implementation, and monitoring of the unit and divisions activities, methods, and systems to collect outstanding tax liabilities or data. The incumbent provides consultation, technical assistance, training, and outreach to internal and external users to promote effective program and system operations. This includes overseeing system research, enhancement, validation, readiness, and reporting projects. The position resides in the Statewide Debt Collections Unit. The position reports to the Statewide Debt Collections Unit Manager. This position does not supervise other staff.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
The minimum level needed on the first day of work is:
- Associate degree in business administration or related field, or four years of experience as a business analyst or related work.
- Other combinations of education or experience are evaluated on an individual basis.
- Experience should include advance computer skills or office operations and remittance processing technologies.
Salary: $ 57,500.00 – 59,675.00 Yearly
