The Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is a trauma informed care agency focused on implementing our core values and providing support to people with developmental disabilities. We oversee a statewide system of supportive services that focus on ensuring the health and safety, supporting access to community participation, and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment. The Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for the safe, efficient and responsible use of technology throughout the agency. ITS provides solutions that support DODD business.

What will you do?

Participates in Scrum development team ceremonies and meeting which will include Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and backlog refinement meetings.

Will assist in breaking down business requirements into implementable units of work collaborates with team to estimate and define programming tasks meeting definition of ready develops code to meet requirements for assigned work which may include creating reports, adding fields, retrieving, collecting and displaying data to end users develop test plans to validate changes documents steps needed for code promotion to higher environments participates in code reviews with peers to ensure standards are followed follows error handling and logging best practices.

Works to improve skills in programming areas to contribute on applications enhancements and support utilizes online training materials, attends training classes, reviews standards and best practices documentation to learn and gain a strong understanding of the development processes.

Uses approved applications or tool to manage and track work activity related to assigned tasks. Examples include Kronos for time keeping and PPM Pro for training work activity.

Qualifications
36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology (Salesforce).

  • Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems 18 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology (Salesforce).

  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems 12 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: developing and/or modifying programs for computer applications, performing testing and debugging and assisting with analysis and design including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology (Salesforce).

  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

  • Hourly wage will be paid at step 1, unless otherwise specified by collective bargaining agreement or rules outlined in the ORC/OAC.
