WHAT WE OFFER
Main Responsibilities
- Performs day-to-day Logistics Operations which includes the accountability for the planning and scheduling of transportation equipment and finished goods inventory in support of the business demand. Knowledge and understanding of the distribution system and the products within the assigned areas.
- Possess and demonstrates knowledge of the interaction between supply chain functions [RPP Site Planner function, Customer Support, Manufacturing Supervisor, Site Logistics operation].
- Utilizes various reporting tools, SAP, Sample Manager, IIMS, SHIPCSX, Rail Manager, warehouse management system and other systems as required in the successful completion of the job functions.
- Raw materials received are inventoried and receipted.
- Works as part of a team to support customer satisfaction.
- Coordinates shipment requirements with Plant Manufacturing, Distribution, R&D and Laboratory.
- Participation with Improvement teams when applicable or as assigned.
- Assist in the training and oversight of new and/or temporary employees.
- Quality Standards are supported daily through the adherence to the Site and Corp ISO Standards and the communication of timely accurate information to accounting, manufacturing, marketing, logistics and product management.
- Exception reporting and resolution on any shipment delays or cancelations
- Corrective action systems [Customer Complaint, IIMS, et.al.] are supported by providing clear and accurate data that is supportive of event resolution and prevention.
- Quality Waiver procedure is understood and utilized for acquiring sales releases for products not meeting Special Customer specifications when applicable.

Adherence to policies and procedures of the State and Federal Regulatory Agencies DOT, FRA, OSHA, i.e…
- Shipment Document packages are in compliance. Inclusive are the BOL, COA, product and sample tags and all other applicable documentation that maybe required.
- Waste manifest are in compliance.
- Empty Railcar bills are in compliance.
- Compliance with plant safety and environmental policies and procedures
- All Training Requirements are completed within the allowable time restraints.
- Contribute to the achievement of the Covestro LLC financial budget through the timely execution of shipment verification [PGI] for all shipments
- Provide accurate book inventories for all storage and shipping containers
- Responsible for maintaining office supply/equipment and other administrative tasks
- Must possess the knowledge and ability to perform procurement of services that impact the department’s – Label printers, BOL printer, Network printers, Fax machines, Copy machine
- Provide input to Monthly Report and other reports
- Back up other Log Rep positions as needed
- High school diploma and a minimum of 6 years of experience
- A minimum of 1 year experience directly related to warehouse operations and supply chain activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong background and experience with SAP to support day to day logistics operations and create shipping documents which are compliant and accurate.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment. Ability to multi-task and have strong organizational skills are critical.
- Ability to utilize warehouse management software, rail management software and other software critical for optimal reliability and efficiency.
