Job Title: Data Analyst

Department: Technology

Reports To: Data Strategist

Compensation Range: 60k-70k

TRS Classification: Non-Classified


Summary:

The data analyst will work on building a new robust data visualization platform for the school. After the initial build, they will be responsible for the continual maintenance of all dashboards. Additionally, they will work with stakeholders to ensure all dashboards are working properly, updated as needed, and serving stakeholders needs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Actively participate in the success of Epic Charter School
  • Adhere to laws, policies, procedures and ethical standards of Epic Charter School
  • Provides analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support.
  • Develops models that help with decision-making.
  • Create and maintain data visualization dashboards
  • Work with stakeholders to create dashboards that serve their needs
  • Supports the Data Strategist in additional data analysis tasks as needed


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No supervisory responsibilities for this role


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or related field
  • Proven work experience with data visualization tools
  • Proven work experience in data warehouses
  • Proven work experience in data analysis with SQL and Python

Mathematical Skills

Advanced math skills required


Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer proficiency in Windows, Google Tools, and data visualization tools with the ability to manage multiple computer screens. Proficient in spreadsheets and databases and have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school. Proficient in writing SQL and Python codes and queries.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Current drivers license and valid car insurance


Other Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made
  • Must have favorable employment references

This position is primarily remote but may be asked to report to the Epic Administration office and additional in-person meetings when required. The noise level is quiet to moderately loud (when students are present.)
