Position Summary
  • Conducting analyses of North Carolina counties’ jail data to help stakeholders better understand the drivers of local pretrial incarceration.
  • Developing and implementing protocols to improve and standardize future jail data collection, analysis, and display.
  • Using Lab data, designing and implementing accessible tools and visualizations for non-academic audiences such as an expunction data tool to estimate the potential impacts of various changes in expunction law.
  • Participating in quantitative research projects with other Lab team members and affiliated researchers, including providing data collection, cleaning, and analysis support.


Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Bachelors Degree.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Experience working in a higher ed setting.
