Job Summary

The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Youth Development Clerk for the Friday Night Live (FNL) program of the Student Safety and Engagement Department, Student Services and Programs Division. The primary focus of the Friday Night Live (FNL) Program is to form youth/adult partnerships which provide programs rich in opportunities and support, so young people will be less likely to engage in problem behaviors, be more likely to achieve in school, and then become positive and productive members of their communities.

Under direct supervision, the Youth Development Clerk provides basic clerical and technical support for the San Diego County Friday Night/Club Live (FNL) programs and maintains training, meeting, and program records as assigned for participating FNL school sites. This position will attend youth-led assemblies and rallies, maintain program and meeting documents, and respond to requests for information and assistance.

This position is grant funded through June 2026.

Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent and six (6) months of clerical experience involving office clerical work, telephone reception, and direct interaction with the public and previous experience working with youth groups.

The results of this recruitment will be used to establish an eligibility list to fill the current vacancy and any other vacancies in this classification for the next six (6) months, or until the list is exhausted.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.56 – $28.80 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
