The State of New Hampshire, Department of Health and Human Services and New Hampshire Hospital has a full-time vacancy for Warehouseman.

Summary: Receives, stores, issues, and delivers supplies in a central hospital stockroom operates equipment used in loading and unloading supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

Education : Graduation from high school, G.E.D. or its equivalent. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

Experience: One year of experience as a storekeeper, stock clerk, in warehousing, operating forklifts or related experience. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.

License/Certification: Valid New Hampshire driver’s license.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects, verifies, and stocks orders received. Enters received orders into Inventory Tracking System (TTS) in the absence of the Inventory Control Supervisor.
  • Operates forklift, vehicles or other equipment required in warehousing operations.
  • Lifts and moves furnishings, equipment, and supplies.
  • Gathers and provides information concerning physical and consumable inventories.
  • Accurately checks, marks, stores and issues supplies to a variety of departments/units within the Hospital as needed or requested.
  • Maintains perpetual inventory of stock.
  • Stocks and distributes forms and office supplies to units and departments.
  • Operates bulk photocopier.
  • Maintains and files Material Safety Data Sheet Report.

Staff Workplace Safety Accountabilities

Complies with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures by:

  • Performing accountabilities in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Communicating with Supervisors’ issues related to workplace safety (i.e. ergonomics, body mechanics, environment, equipment…)
  • Reporting on the job injuries IMMEDIATELY.
  • Attending training programs as appropriate.

Participates in the process of continuous quality improvement by supporting unit/department-based quality improvement activities. Demonstrates commitment to customer service values in professional conduct and by promoting such values in assigned work area.
