Apply Here Job Description : Horizon BCBSNJ employees must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware Job Summary: This position is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of mail and supplies between Horizon buildings and U.S. Post Office. This position will also be responsible for commuter and passenger van services.
  • Drives the van between all Horizon locations and picks up/delivers mail and supplies.
  • Monitors the workflow of mail receivables throughout the unit.
  • Loads and unloads vehicle.
  • Delivers packages and stock materials weighing up to 75 pounds to designated areas
  • Ensures proper operation of vehicle including fuel replacement as needed and reports any mechanical problem to management.
  • Maintain vehicle control log.
  • Pick up U.S. Mail from U.S. Post Office and sign for Certified mail.
  • Performs related duties essential to the performance of the basic assignments by management.
  • Serves as back up driver for other Corporate Services vehicles. (Building to Building).
  • Will be required to perform all mail clerk activities as a back-up to the mail clerk.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required-
  • Prefer one (1) year driving mid-size van.
Additional licensing, certifications, registrations:
  • Requires a valid New Jersey drivers license and good driving record, to be determined via a New Jersey DMV check.
Knowledge:
  • Prefer knowledge of United States postal requirements and regulations.
  • Prefer knowledge of overnight express vendor processes.
  • Skills and Abilities:
  • Requires the ability to stand, stoop and lift heavy items up to 75 pounds.
  • Requires ability to push or pull equipment weighing approximately 60 pounds.
Salary Range: $31,782 – $42,239 This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
