UTILITY – JOB DESCRIPTION
The following Job Description is designed for the Utility Position. The position responsibilities shall include instructions for food safety, quality, and process efficiency. The position responsibilities shall be, but are not limited to the functions as described below:
Days:
Sunday through Thursday 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Wages: $23.60 x 180 working days (Union Contract Provision), then $24.60
General Qualifications:
- Shall have MUST Chemical Safety Training before handling chemicals.
- Shall have attended GMP, HACCP and Allergen Training.
- Shall have met all requirements of the SQF Program.
- Shall comply with all GMP requirements.
- Shall comply with all requirements for Personal Protective Equipment as defined by the appropriate plant procedures.
- Shall comply with all Safety Rules and Policies.
- Shall have pallet jack training.
Utility Position Requirements:
- Accurately explain proper use and operation of the waste scale at ICS.
- Ability to push up to 250 lbs. via moving dolly.
- Properly clean waste cans, trash cans, and plastic pallets following the specific SOP’s.
- Check and change paper towel and fill soap dispensers located on the production floor. Pop room, break rooms, locker rooms when needed throughout your shift.
- Retrieve and dispose of any empty cardboard, trash, and empty pallets from the production floor, Pop room, break rooms, locker rooms, and warehouse.
- Foam/scrub breezeway area following the specific SOP’s.
- Pick up and organize scrubs rack area.
- Clean up dock area when dumpster is removed to be emptied.
- Clean hand wash sinks located on the production floor and Pop room.
- Clean and sanitize all floor drainslocated on the production floor, Pop room, and breezeway following the specific SOP’s nightly.
- Sweep up debris around outside break areas on the plant and cooler side, nightly.
- Sweep up debris in hot room, warehouse, 40 degree room, nightly.
- Empty and clean breakroom cooler, weekly.
- Clean/scrub trash dock following SOP’s, weekly.
- Any other duties assigned by Supervisor or Management that fall within the Utility scope of duties.
