Description: JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Training Coordinator will be responsible for identifying training and developmental needs and for planning, organizing and overseeing the training program for all Public Safety Officers and EHC staff as required.
  • You will verify officers competency and make recommendations/suggestions on ways to enhance and develop skills, and perform other duties as required.
  • The Training Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Public Safety or designate manager and had no direct reports.
  • As the Training Coordinator your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following: Will assist with shift coverage as needed.
  • Maintain all departmental training files across (3) campuses (EUH/EUOSH, EWWH).
  • Developing, maintaining and implementation of the training schedule/calendar across (3) campuses.
  • Oversee the training materials of new recruits onboarding into the department (Defensive Driving, CPR, etc.).
  • Monitor compliance of HLC regulatory requirements completion.
  • Interact with county/local Law Enforcement and community training as required/requested (ompiling and presenting information).
  • Monitor compliance and teach CPI training/ re-certification.
  • Implement, coordinate and teach Crime Prevention Training (Code Security, Code Silver, Code Red, Bomb Threats).
  • Schedule/Implement the Firearms Training/ Re-certification.
  • Monitor current weapon permits/Instructor Licenses of PS Officers on file.
  • Assist with proctoring the Basic IAHSS course/examination.
  • Monitor compliance of ASP Baton and Mechanics of Arrest Training.
  • Assist with developing and implementing a Training Team/Program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Five (5) years of military, law enforcement or security experience, with one (1) year of instructor/training and presentation.
  • Able to exercise physical restraint.
  • Requires a valid CPR card, Georgia drivers license and insurable driving record.
  • IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security &amp Safety) supervisor certification within one (1) year of employment.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification preferred.
  • Must be able to pass extensive Psych Evaluation as a condition of employment. (Locations with armed officers)
  • Maintains licensure and proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and firearms.
Training Coordinator, Security, Salary: $18.27- $30.69/hour, The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity. This position is eligible for shift differentials.
