As a Barclays Trading Assistant, you’ll work with the Trade Capture team that sits within the Front Office and join a team that helps maintain a high degree of accuracy around trade capture. This is crucial to the firms risk management and helps meet our regulatory and internal control requirements. Trading assistants ensure the timely and accurate capture of contractual obligations on the Firm’s systems across the Securitized Products. You will have the opportunity to work with other groups in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Salary / Rate Minimum: 75,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: 85,000

What will you be doing?

  • Being accountable for timely and accurate booking of Trade Capture, which includes the Initial Trade Capture across Securitized Products Bond, Loan &amp Derivative Trading
  • Managing Lifecycle Events (product dependent but includes and is not limited to Cancellations, Re-coupon, Manual Fee Bookings, among others)
  • Managing and leading Credit Events (product dependent but includes and is not limited to Reference Obligation Changes, Credit Events, Restructuring)
  • Leading any position Changes (Backloading, Barrier Knock-Ins/Outs, Buy Backs, Assignments/Novations, Terminations (Full &amp Partial)
  • Accounting for the TRACE Reporting- timely and accurate approval &amp trade reporting in order to meet regulatory requirements
  • Assisting the team on functions such as Rematch and Delta Neutral Auctions, Exercises, Expiry, Redemptions, Maturity, Up/Down sizes
  • Collaborating on new projects within the TCU space including, but not limited to, the coordination of testing/implementation and go live of new TCU tools

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, and over a year of experience in the Front to Back lifecycle of a trade
  • Knowledge of Financial Markets (Securitized Products)
  • Competency and proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 32-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
