Overview The School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) is the largest academic unit at Rutgers University and the center of the undergraduate experience on the Rutgers–New Brunswick campus and is comprised of 41 academic departments spanning the liberal arts. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Summer Research Assistant for the School of Arts &amp Sciences – Physics &amp Astronomy department.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Conducts an original research project in particle physics.
  • Participates in, and shares work in, weekly meetings of the research group.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience
  • No experience required.


Certifications/Licenses



Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a high school introductory physics course.
  • Will be enrolled in high school in the 2024–2025 school year.
  • Participation in the ACT-SO program or eligibility to participate in the 2025 ACT-SO competition.
