Student Research Assistant

Functions as a Student Research Assistant to provide support of daily operations in a research laboratory within the Department of Neuroscience performs behavioral testing of rats assists with research activities under direct supervision assists with collection of and organizes research data prepares materials for use in experiments conducts library research washes glassware used in laboratory autoclaves (sterilizes) glassware, tools and equipment as needed assists with inventory and maintenance of research supplies

Minimum Education and Skills/Experience Required/Desired

High School Graduate or equivalency required must be enrolled in a degree-granting program at OSU knowledge and understanding of biology, chemistry and basic science research techniques and equipment desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
