Summer Student IT Worker – Technology
Assist the Technology department during summer break to get new and existing devices se up for use at the beginning of the school year.
Position Title: Student Worker-Information Systems
Job Summary/Purpose: Assist the Technology department during the summer break to get new devices
set up for use at the beginning of the school year.
Knowledge/Skills: Able to follow direction and technical procedures, handles responsibilities in a
timely and efficient manner.
Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare devices so they can be used for instruction
Examples of Work Performed:
A. Unbox and remove ChromeBooks and power adapters/cables from packaging
B. Unbox and remove iPads and power adapters/cables from packaging
C. Unbox and remove charging carts from packaging
D. Install power cables into charging carts
E. Enroll ChromeBooks into the FHSD system
F. Enroll iPads into the FHSD system
G. Prepare inventory information
Assist District Technicians in preparing classroom technology for instruction
Examples of Work Performed:
A. Connecting cables and misc. Equipment to docking stations, audio/visual panels and other peripherals
B. Cleaning projector filters
C. Unbox and remove charging carts from packaging
D. Testing technology equipment
Reports to: Technology Manager
Dates: May 28 through August 2
Hours: 20-25 hours a week, Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm
Hourly Rate: $15.17/hour
