The Hartford is looking for a Social Media Marketing Specialist to support a highly collaborative team creating digital experiences with meaningful impact. The Social Media Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing end-to-end paid and organic social campaigns including strategy development, guiding compelling content creation, and optimization to enhance The Hartford’s brand reputation, promote customer loyalty, and drive user engagement and conversions.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and manage strategic advertising and test plans for both organic and paid social campaigns.
  • Pitch comprehensive and innovative social recommendations to various stakeholders to increase the size and reach of our community across various platforms, deliver on business objectives and reflect our brand values.
  • Plan, create and curate engaging content aligned to business goals, and tailored to our audience and communitys needs and interests. Collaborate with Digital Design resources as needed.
  • Conduct research, gathering insights and data to inform the development of campaign strategies and actionable recommendations. Utilize insights to lead strategic storytelling.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of various social platforms and their respective audience base.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners and continuously grow opportunities for social content development, efficiency and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • At least 3 years professional experience at an agency, in-house agency, marketing department, or comparable organization.
  • Track record of success in paid and organic social media advertising
  • In depth knowledge of social media channels, respective audiences and how each can be leveraged for various campaigns and goals effectively.
  • Genuine passion for social media, ability to be highly creative and digitally innovative
  • Keen understanding of culture, trends, emerging platforms and influencers
  • Strong analytical skills to easily tap into big picture thinking when it comes to social media content, campaigns and activations
  • Strong editorial judgement and proficiency in creative copywriting and visual storytelling
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and time management skills
  • Ability to share creative ideas and work collaboratively to execute
  • Ability to adapt and adjust planned work by analyzing work demands, competing priorities, and tight deadlines. Understand most effective and efficient means to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the organizational structure, process, systems and policies
  • Experience working within corporate brand guidelines
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and work well with others as part of a team is a must. This includes:

Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
