PAY RATE: $12-$15 (DOE) +tips
SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: Chefs
POSITION SUMMARY: Kitchen work including washing dishes, restaurant setup, and some food preparation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Kitchen work including washing dishes restaurant setup, and some food preparation. Work in close liaison with chef. Duties include food handling, storage, rotation, processing and presentation. Must be willing to learn fundamental knowledge of line cooking and health code. Must be willing to work as a team. Must be over 14 years old per State/Federal law.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
SKILLS: Organization, self-starter cleanliness,
EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication, basic math
EXPERIENCE: Restaurant experience preferred, will train.
LICENSE NEEDED: None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will stand in place for up to 60 minutes. Will get breaks as available. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 100% inside and be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items. In this environment we work purely as a team, all kitchen employees, cooks, dishwashers, and custodians will all share responsibilities to ensure the quality of our service and food.
MACHINES/TOOLS OPERATED: ovens, processors, basic kitchen tools-knives, dish machine.
