DEPARTMENT: Population Health-Case Management
REPORTS TO: Shelter Supervisor
SALARY: Per Budget
JOB TYPE: Regular, Full Time, Non-Exempt, Rotating Shifts/Weekends
OPEN DATE: 5/2/2024

JOB SUMMARY:

Provides 24-hour on-site monitoring services to support outreach, safety, and management of the Shelter.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process new clients, give orientation to the rules of shelter, complete intake application, file alphabetically, add clients to the Google spreadsheet, make appointments for new clients for medical physicals.
Deep cleans each trailer after clients are discharged or as necessary.
Verifies inventory levels and prevents inventory gaps for item such as Toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies, etc.
Provides appropriate oversight of the client’s stay and enforces rules of the shelter.
Transports clients to and from the shelter for medical appointments as necessary
Writes and reports all incidents and maintenance issues to the Shelter Supervisor.
Submits Work Order Maintenance Requests as needed.
Provides de-escalation techniques to clients as needed and to ensure safety.
Monitors the clients, trailers, and grounds of the Shelter and ensure the safety and security of each client on the premise.
Writes all observations in daily Turnover Notes.
Must be able to conduct security searches in the event Security is not present.
Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the Shelter.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED.
Must possess a valid driver license and meet insurance standards and maintain insurability under WRFCHCs insurance program.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
General knowledge of working in a shelter or residential facility.
Excellent customer service and demonstrates reliability.
Ability to remain calm, collected, and professional in stressful situations.
Demonstrates empathy when responding to client needs and requests.
First Aid/AED/CPR within 60 days of hire.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Rotating shifts (day, swing, and graveyard).
Able to work with various cultures, backgrounds, health and mental health statuses.
Work environment involves risks of exposure to harsh weather conditions, communicable diseases, hazardous substances, pests, and may be subject to harsh chemicals
