Job Description


Visa seeks an enthusiastic, security-minded professional with interest in intelligence analysis to join our Global Travel Security team as a Junior Analyst. As a Junior Analyst, you will work as a key member of the wider Global Security &amp Safety team (GSS), providing critical monitoring, analytical intelligence, and writing responsibilities for our facilities, analytical operations and directly reporting to the Head of Security for the LAC Region. This is a security position relevant for candidates who demonstrate interest in and understanding of geopolitics, as well as strong social media analysis and writing skills.


Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of intelligence, travel safety, and physical security operators and analysts.

  • Travel Tracking – Employee Travel Outreach and actively monitoring safety conditions for Visa business travelers.

  • Monitor daily global security incidents, track, and report those with impact to the Visa business.

  • Draft brief reports for the Global Travel Security Team. This includes incidents that may affect life safety of Visa employees, travel security recommendations, and liaison with Visa business travelers.

  • Support Visa’s crisis management response – assist with event notification and escalation to the appropriate security managers when necessary.

  • Support Visa’s protective intelligence team with reporting on events that have a possible security impact to executive travel or sponsored events.

  • Assist with gathering metrics on Global Travel Security operations and intelligence reporting.

  • Assist with Visa intranet features for the Global Travel Security program.


This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate: Minimum of 6 months of work experience or a Bachelors Degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate: 2 or more years of work experience
  • 6 months of experience or a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint,
Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in a role that required strong writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communications in English and Spanish.

Work Hours:
Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 62,000.00 to 87,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
