Roads and Pads – Roustabout/Laborer (Summer Hire) – Prudhoe Bay, AK

The Roads and Pads Laborer/Roustabout (Summer Hire) performs a variety of manual and medium to unskilled tasks required to support the movement of materials, equipment and supplies between field locations and operating facilities. The position will work in direct support of the roads and pads operators and operator leads.

This position will be a temporary North Slope based, rotational assignment with an expected duration of approximately 90 days. Relocation assistance to Alaska is not provided however, transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Room and meals are provided while in Prudhoe Bay.

Essential Job Functions:

• Attend various technical, developmental and safety trainings
• Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures
• Ability to identify and safely operate standard construction and maintenance hand and power tools
• Tend pumps, compressors, generators to provide power for tools, machinery and equipment, or to heat and move materials, lubricate machinery, equipment and parts
• Clean and prepare shops to eliminate possible hazards
• Clean tools, equipment, machinery and work areas
• Perform manual labor including cleanup, “stick-picking” shoveling, compacting and backfilling excavations
• Provide assistance as directed for other work crew members
• Demonstrate support for company and client HSE management system
• Ability to complete a task hazard awareness assessment and administer mitigation to identified hazards
• Routinely operate Worley/client light and/or medium duty vehicles
• Safely climb ladders of various heights

Knowledge, Skills &amp Abilities:

• Must be a self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work as a part of a team and follow work directions
• Able to effectively communicate with fellow workers and alternate
• Capable of learning various company and client safety and operational procedures and demonstrate required competencies
• Basic knowledge of construction machines, equipment and tools, including design, uses, repair and maintenance
