ICFs Early Childhood Insights Portfolio is seeking a Research Data Analyst to contribute to early education projects focused on child care, Head Start, pre-kindergarten and military child care programs. Clients include federal, state and non-profit agencies. As a Research Data Analyst, you will apply your academic knowledge and work experience to contribute to data analysis, survey research, training and technical assistance projects.

Pay Range – There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. - Works on multiple early childhood projects simultaneously as a contributor.
- Contributes to data analysis efforts, such as reviewing data sets as defined by set protocols, conducting QC of data entry, conducting data clean up, spotting patterns or trends within a data set, conducting or assisting with interviews and focus groups, survey administration.
- Works both independently and as part of a team to develop or update multiple types of training and technical assistance resources.
- Designs protocols for collecting change requests.
- Tracks and updates Smartsheet to document internal and external requests for updates to resources, public website, and style guide.
- Assists with notetaking and creating summaries.
- Drafts various types of communications including correspondence, Q&A scripts, and web pages for various audiences.
- Collaborates with various early childhood constituents to develop operational guidance for system end-users.
- Assists with the coordination of meetings and training events including logistical details, registration, materials, and onsite tasks.
- Manages the timeline, scope of work, and workflow for assigned projects and tasks.
- Willing to be flexible & support team members as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, research methods, program evaluation, psychology, child development, education or a related field, or equivalent.
- 3+ years working in data analysis, training and technical assistance or the child care field at the state or federal level. Preference given to individuals with experience with one or more of the following programs: CCDF, Head Start, prekindergarten programs, or military child care.

1+ years experience with Microsoft Office suite is required.

- Experience working with different meeting platforms, content management systems, and data systems. Should feel comfortable learning new technology platforms.
- Experience translating technical requirements documents into procedural documents and/or training materials.
- Comfortable reading technical requirements and exploring platforms to develop knowledge of a data system/application.
- Ability to follow internal and external procedures as well as contribute to procedure development.
