Job Description :

We are currently seeking a Research Assistant to help with study management and implementation for several autism and genetic epidemiology projects. These studies seek to identify biologic and environmental factors that impact health outcomes in the population, with a particular focus on children and neurodevelopment. Our studies contribute to large national and international networks that utilize a range of study designs and methods, e.g. case-control and prospective cohort, to address current public health needs. The research assistant will work closely with and report directly to the Principal Investigator. They will also interact regularly with other collaborating faculty and senior research staff to support our research program goals, both at JHU and externally.


Specific Duties &amp Responsibilities:

  • Assist with study participant packet assembly and mailings.
  • Contact study participants for follow up response.
  • Attend research team and project meetings and take minutes.
  • Coordinate research study meetings and communications with research partners.
  • Assist in preparing materials for and participant in research meetings.
  • Provide assistance with the creation of study documents, progress reports, presentations, and manuscripts.
  • Organize electronic databases and research materials.
  • Assist with literature review and maintaining reference libraries.
  • Other related activities, as needed.
  • Provide support to a large multidisciplinary team.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in related discipline.
  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree or prior experience assisting and coordinating a large team.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 – $30.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
