Physical Requirements Moving and lifting object from floor to above shoulders up to 25 pounds. Standing and sitting at computer terminals and laboratory bench completing repetitive tasks for extensive periods of time. Working with materials requiring personal protective equipment in accord with EH&ampS policy.
Shift Primarily Days Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, some Evenings, Weekends are possible
Job Summary Physiology is seeking a Research Analyst whose responsibilities will be to assist a PI in performing a variety of cellular, molecular, or imaging hands-on experiments upkeeping of a large mouse colony performing hearing testing in mice, and supervising/providing training to other laboratory members. Daily work activities will require animal care, strong observational skills, cellular and molecular biology assays, and performing confocal imaging.

Other duties include organizing, conducting, analyzing and recording experimental data. Must be able to review laboratory manuals, protocols and techniques making minor modifications as needed. Review results of experiments for reliability by comparing data obtained from previous experiments. Must be proficient in using PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Adobe Illustrator, and GraphPad Prism, and have paid experience in laboratory research and mouse handling.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Proficient and IACUC compliant small animal care Basic lab skills, (e.g., pipetting) basic computer skills (e.g., MS windows, excel)
