On-sitePosition Focus:
The PRIME Clinic and Treatment Program at the Yale School of Medicine supports the ongoing research in various protocols as well as the clinical care provided in the outpatient clinic. The Research Aide will support the study team with assisting in the recruitment of subjects for studies, scheduling visits, preparation of materials for study visits, subject payment, and assist with organizing data. This role requires strong organizational skills, which will be pivotal in duties like maintaining research documents according to research and state regulations. Another important function of this role is to be able communicate clearly, promptly, and effectively with potential/current clients, families, and other research colleagues at different sites.Essential Duties
1. Codes and records data. 2. Uses computer terminal to input and retrieve data and generate reports. 3. Creates charts, illustrations and graphic representations of data. 4. Performs clerical functions incidental to research activities.Required Education and Experience
Two years of related work experience and a high school level education or the equivalent combination of experience and education.Required Skill/Ability 1:
Demonstrated ability (paid or volunteer) for engaging patients in treatment and/or participation in research protocols and coordinating the scheduling of the patients as well as the other clinic staff.Required Skill/Ability 2:
Microsoft Outlook and Office ( Word,Excel and PowerPoint) and utilizing web-based data entry systems (ex. REDCap).Required Skill/Ability 3:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills.Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
Prior experience working with individuals suffering from mental illness, especially those experiencing psychosis.Weekend Hours Required?
