Would you enjoy working with others to assist students in getting set up for classes, and putting in creative work online to promote programs? UAS Ketchikan campus is hiring a Registration and Media Professional. This position is the primary point of contact for the campus in the registration office, including phone calls to the main campus number, responding to general inquiries through email, and forwarding requests to appropriate departments around campus. The Ketchikan Campus flagship programs include marine transportation and online interdisciplinary bachelor’s degrees, and the Registration and Media Professional will assist students with registering for classes, answering questions about available programs of study, and processing registration forms. Fun, creative work in developing marketing/advertising materials, electronic messaging, and maintaining a campus social media presence are all key activities for the position.

The successful candidate must be excited to serve as a main point of contact for a small college campus, and to interact with prospective and current students with a positive attitude. Must have good organizational skills, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Must be reliable, courteous, and demonstrate experience working with others. Must be able to handle confidential material in a professional manner. Strong computer skills including the ability to produce print, multimedia, web materials, and advertising for radio.

Minimum Qualifications:

An associates degree and one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

Position Details:

This is a full-time, 12-month, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage.

New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 77, based on education and experience.

Starting salary is $22.64 or higher, depending on experience.
