Ramp Crewmember – Part-Time

Description

To provide safe ground coordination of arriving and departing aircraft, including but not limited to, oversight of Customer boarding and deplaning, baggage handling and aircraft servicing.

Outcomes and Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for our Customers and Crewmembers
• Maintain a pro-active approach to safety by taking immediate corrective action for any unsafe act.
• Individual contributor to safety with no direct safety incidents involving Customers, Crewmembers, or company assets.
• Responsible for transporting customers needing wheelchair assistance which will include pushing and pulling customers up or down incline and decline surfaces.
• Attend and participate in safety briefings and meetings.

• Efficient, safe operation of ramp equipment to include bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft pushbacks and water and lavatory servicing vehicles
• Safe operate within company standards.
• Coordinated turns result in on-time performance

• Safe performance as a wing walker and/or marshaller to protect the aircraft during all arriving, departing and towing movements.
• Safe, timely performance of duties in assigned position.
• Aircraft are positioned on-time in accordance with the operational plan.

• Control baggage loading and handling to ensure proper weight and balance as well as aircraft safety and security.
• Accuracy of baggage loading record and aircraft cargo bins
• Mishandled baggage are within company standards

• Provide clean, sanitary cabin interiors, including lavatories. Stock aircraft and catering carts with necessary supplies
• Aircraft appearance is within company standards.
• Appropriate inventory levels of commissary and cleaning supplies are maintained.

• Accurate completion of all required data on forms and in provided computer systems.
• Reports are filed on-time and kept on record in accordance with company standards.

• Capable of working under strict time limits, in stressful environments, and in various outdoors weather conditions.
• Ability to strategically position and operate company equipment in a safe manner and report all malfunctions to the appropriate management.
• Capability to prepare aircraft for customer boarding and departure, which can include exterior servicing and interior cabin cleaning of seats, seat pockets, floor, galleys, and lavatories.

Requirements

Basic Requirements

• Flexibility to work in a stressful environment during a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Exposure to different environmental conditions, heights, small spaces, and loud noises such as aircraft, vehicles, and other machinery.
• Regularly lift and move up to 70 pounds and the ability to carry heavy items up and down ramp stairs.

Education/Experience Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
• Previous aviation ramp experience is a plus
• Become qualified and remain current in all required disciplines.

Licenses/Designations/Additional Requirements

• Possess a valid US state drivers license
• Must pass FBI background check and obtain Airport security badge
