How will you make an impact?
The Quality Technician II performs various duties relating to maintaining the quality and consistency of products sold to customers. This also requires preparing and maintaining regulatory and ISO 9001 certification documentation. This employee will complete receiving inspection activities, coordinate nonconforming materials activities, record results, respond to inquiries, and other tasks as requested. The employee performs all duties in accordance with leading standards, practices, and guidelines. The role will report to the Quality Manager.
What will you do?
- Inspect, test, and measure incoming chemicals and parts to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Utilize applicable sampling techniques for incoming inspection, including statistical analysis.
- Coordinate received material quality control testing to evaluate adherence to specified part or product design and purchasing requirements.
- Perform the physical and electronic movement of potentially nonconforming materials into the designated locations after disposition or for review.
- Perform and direct root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.
- Participate in GEMBA and other internal or external audit activities to support quality procedure, process, and system reviews.
- Update procedural documents and train others accordingly.
- Respond to external and internal inquiries as it pertains to parts or chemicals.
- Provide updates to the Quality Management System, as needed.
- Supports other departments as needed.
Required Experience:
- HS Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a receiving inspection role
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience with using calipers, gauges, and other types of measurement tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in various types of documents.
- Ability to build, revise and interpret technical documents.
- Strong digital intelligence application proficiency and database management with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and other programs.
- Great teammate able to partner, collaborate and work effectively with others.
- Ability to effectively prioritize, handle workload, and meet ambitious deadlines.
- Ability to use continuous improvement tools to consistently achieve organizational objectives.
- Perform related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Physical/Environmental requirements:
Constant Physical requirements:
- Siting, Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, motions, and keyboarding. Visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, operation of machines, using measurement devices.
Occasional Physical requirements:
- Climbing, squatting, and crawling twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, pinching, neck rotations. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force.
Environmental Conditions: Exposure to machinery, sharp and moving parts, electrical and other energy sources.
Work Hours:
This position is Monday- Friday, day shift.
Overtime and weekend work as needed.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $20.34–$30.51.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
