Overview

Pay: $27.75 per hour

Schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Work with a purpose ! Management &amp Training Corporation (MTC) operates the Otero County Prison Facility in Chaparral, New Mexico. We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff while helping offenders gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.

What you’ll do: You’ll be responsible for performing purchasing and supply work for the facility.

Essential functions:

  • Plan, organize, implement, and supervise the preparation of specifications for commodities and equipment.
  • Prepare purchase orders and other procurement documentation.
  • Coordinate the preparation of emergency and spot requisition request for local purchase items.
  • Inspect all incoming shipments to ensure required specifications are met.
  • Maintain perpetual inventory controls through the use of established systems including computerized programs.
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and issue of warehouse items.

Education and experience requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) years’ experience in inventory, stock control, record keeping or purchasing required. Experience in automated computer systems and computer proficiency required.
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of New Mexico or Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
