Expected annual base salary range: $51,500 to $72,000

GPS level: P1

JOB SUMMARY: The Project Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day administration and organization of client projects (working closely with the Project Managers) to ensure that projects and their assigned deliverables are produced on time, within budget and according to the agreed upon scope of work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

  • Drafting, editing, and distributing reports to clients and DMCs.
  • Noticing and reporting to statistical leads inconsistencies between data tables/figures and report text.
  • Ensuring quality control of documents and reports.
  • Editing reports to assure consistency between presentations and text.
  • Organizing confidential study materials and maintaining project logs.
  • Documenting study correspondence.
  • Preparing table, figure, and listing shells for Statistical Analysis Plans.
  • Under the supervision of the PM, coordinating conference calls and meetings with clients and DMCs.
  • Communicating with DMC members and clients with PM review.
  • Drafting minutes of internal and external meetings.
  • Assisting with QA or administrative projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s Degree or 1 to 2 years of related administrative experience or the equivalent combination of education, skills and experience to perform the job.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Exposure to project management team environment desired. Must have at least six (6) months of demonstrated administrative experience supporting projects or programs.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills required.
  • Knowledge of financial management a plus.
  • Knowledge of project management software tools and management techniques a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving/decision making skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to utilize technology and tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong facilitation and coordination skills.
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail skills required. Must take pride in work product results strive towards 100% accuracy in work processes.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
