Skydance Animation is hiring a Production Assistant to join the team of our fourth feature film. The PA will support the team, including the Director, Producer, Heads of Departments, and production crew. This position will be administrative and requires the ability to prioritize and organize the workflow for day-to-day needs. The preferred candidate has previous administrative experience and is proactive with strong follow-through and a sense of urgency, can work independently and as a team, and has a passion for growing within animation production.

Responsibilities

    • Supports the production team to achieve overall goals, shift priorities as departmental needs change
    • Manage calendar of the Director, assist in navigation of daily schedule and needs
    • Daily office activities including scheduling meetings and rooms, copies, filing, partner with facilities on supply needs, orders, etc.
    • Meal planning and runs for working lunches
    • Coordinate domestic and international travel, arrange detailed itineraries, process documentation
    • Taking detailed meeting notes and timely distribution
    • Organize artwork in show story room
    • Assist Coordinator in tracking statuses by maintaining continuous awareness of production timeline
    • Consistent line of communication with all departments regarding needs and deadlines including cross-site, multi-location
    • Research tasks, projects, and gathering materials as requested
    • Maintenance and timely reconciliation of monthly expense reports
    • Monitoring and timely collection of timecards
    • Nexonia Reporting
    • Other ad hoc duties as necessary

Requirements

    • At least 1 year as an Assistant or PA within entertainment experience at animation studio a plus
    • Enthusiasm and desire to learn all areas of animation pipeline and related workflows
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines, strong organizational habits
    • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to maturely and professionally interface with all levels of internal management, vendors and outside contacts, etc.
    • Possesses a high level of discretion and confidentiality
    • Strong proficiency with MS software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Flix, ShotGrid, Photoshop experience, a plus
    • Previous experience within animation, including internships, a plus
$20 – $22 an hour
The hourly range for this non-exempt position in Los Angeles, California is $20-22 an hour. The rate offered may vary based on the candidate’s location, qualifications, experience and relevant expertise, among other factors. The range indicated is for base salary only and does not reflect the total compensation package, including bonus, benefits, etc. We realize that skills and expertise can come from many different experiences and paths, and we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the requirements as written in the job description.
