Lead technical engineering teams to build platforms to enable application engineers whose applications are critical to achieving Optum’s vision of transforming healthcare. Duties include: drive product strategy through roadmap development translate product strategy into actionable items for engineering teams to execute on work with stakeholders to define use cases and develop technical requirements for executing on platform vision establish processes for platform build and implementations/integrations build configuration standards and tools/reporting to ensure standards are met and exceptions are documented/understood deliver solutions that can easily adapt to work with multiple cloud and on-prem solutions create material to inform business teams of process workflows and what is configurable collaborate with stakeholders to define and scope features to be prioritized into product roadmap that balances customer and platform needs and engineering maturation and balance competing technical development priorities that allow for new development, maintenance of current system capabilities, bug fixes and technical debt. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive product strategy through roadmap development
  • Translate product strategy into actionable items for engineering teams to execute on
  • Work with stakeholders to define use cases and develop technical requirements for executing on platform vision
  • Establish processes for platform build and implementations/integrations
  • Discussing technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new ideas to non-technical audiences

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with Product Management
  • 2+ years of experience with Cloud-native applications and platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, or Amazon AWS
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile delivery tools such as CA Agile (Rally), Aha!, or Jira

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with understanding of hospital and healthcare revenue management functions and processes
  • Experience of enabling technologies and functions used within healthcare revenue cycle management
  • Experience working within large matrixed organization
  • Product engineering and agile process understanding
  • Proven ability to quickly adapt and proactive learner

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
