Description of Work

This position serves as Processing Assistant for the Vocational Rehabilitation Program and is located in the Greenville Unit VR office. This position is an important member of the team. The incumbent provides supports to assigned counselors that serve individuals to achieve goals of obtaining, maintaining, or retaining employment as a result of provision of Vocational Rehabilitation services in addition to customer partnerships and community resources.

Work activities include gathering diagnostic data to assist the counselor in determining eligibility and developing a plan of services. assisting counselors in providing quality and timely services providing follow up with consumers, vendors, and community resources assisting counselors in managing budget and ensuring goals are met. and effectively completing all administrative tasks.

The operation of computer, printer copy machine, calculator, scanner and telephone are essential for the performance of this position. Incumbent will also work with management/LOA in providing support to special projects. (i.e., purging files, inventory). Casework support for other caseloads and covering the front desk may be required to ensure office and caseload coverage.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience
