Posting Summary Provide technical support, oversight, coordination, and supervision in technical areas related to Digital media, photography, film, video, print, and mixed media. Responsible for training of faculty, staff, and students in the understanding and use of media labs and equipment. Provide oversight, training, and maintenance for art studios, lab spaces, and equipment. Hire, schedule, supervise, train, and mentor student employees.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor’s degree in a specialized or related field and one to three years’ related experience required. Demonstrated professional experience of 2+ years in Photo, Digital Art, Film, or Video, or evidence of equivalent technical knowledge and experience. Preference for work experience in photography/digital arts/film/video in a university/academic setting.
Desirable Qualifications The ideal candidate will have expertise in digital and analog photography and film/video, including darkroom and digital lab management and experience working with other equipment used in digital art making. The candidate will also have proficiency in communicating and organizing via Microsoft platforms (at a University level), Adobe Creative Suite (for digital editing workflows, systems troubleshooting, production uses), and Autodesk (for 3D modeling and animation), and AirTame (or equivalent screen-sharing platforms).
Other Information Anticipated pay range is $53,000 – $55,000 annually. Actual hiring pay dependent on comparable campus peer(s) at time of hire, and candidate’s experience level and length.
