Physical Requirements The physical requirements of this position include: occasionally standing, walking with, and/or lifting objects up to 25lbs driving motor pool vehicle, regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time standing for greater than 5 hours at a time walking several miles per day and performing repetitive motions (such as typing).
Shift The shift for this position is primarily day shift and may be between the hours of 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday may include some weekend/holiday requirements. Hours and days of the week subject to change on the needs and growth of the department.
Job Summary Assists Retail Pharmacy staff in the transportation and distribution of medications and supplies across the enterprise. Works closely with Retail Pharmacy staff to meet the needs of the department including, but not limited to, assisting with procurement and movement of supplies, preventative maintenance of equipment, and routine cleaning requirements. Requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively to patients and healthcare staff. Must be able to drive a University of Kentucky Motor Pool vehicle for courier services to both on-site and off-site locations. Must maintain clean driving record and be able to operate a motor vehicle safely.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities The ideal candidate will be reliable, dependable, have the ability to prioritize and be self motivated with a positive attitude.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience Licensed driving experience, inventory management experience preferred.
