This is a full-time, regular position at the Rubin White Clinic in Poteau | The schedule will be Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 7-5:30
Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Pharmacy Clerk assists pharmacy staff in the daily clerical operations of the pharmacy. You will report to the Director.
Primary Tasks:
- Package prescription orders for mailing or clinic pick up per order type requirements specific to the type of medication being sent and carrier used for shipping (Van/USPS/UPS/FedEx etc)
- Maintain adequate stock of packing supplies for your station including sacks, envelopes, boxes, tape, labels, paper and auxillary stickers.
- Perform routine maintenance of document printers, label printers, Auto-Bagger spool such as replacing paper/toner/labels/bags and clearing jams.
- Sort Mail orders by carrier, destination and package type as required by carrier, into the appropriate cart, pallet, crate, bag.
- Sort clinic orders by clinic and refrigerated vs non-refrigerated.
- Maintain adequate stock of office supplies and informational handouts in the outpatient pharmacy area.
- File requisition logs and perform other clerical duties.
- Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
- High School diploma
- Basic computer knowledge
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Maintain confidentiality in matters pertaining to patients, physicians, staff and hospital
- Capability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
