PeoplePay Intermediate Associate
Summary
The University of Michigan Shared Services Center (U-M SSC) is a customer service organization focused on providing user-friendly and cost-effective administrative services to the university community. The SSC offers key financial and human resource transaction services to customers through processes and enabling technology.
Reporting to the PeoplePay Supervisor, the PeoplePay Associate serves as a critical member of a high-volume, efficient, customer-service-driven team. When the SSC receives requests to pay individuals, PeoplePay Associates will analyze requests, determine the correct forms and processes to use, and complete final payment processing. You will need to be comfortable spending 80% of any given day completing transactions.
Work Location:
Work is 95% remote. Please note that occasional on-site presence may be required. You are required to have a high-speed internet connection and a designated working space in your home. Equipment, including a laptop and monitors, will be provided for your use.

Responsibilities*
- Maintain a high level of work production and accuracy
- Investigate and process payments to individuals through the proper payment route
- Research and request supplier additions, reactivations, and updates
- Create purchase order requisitions
- Provide clear and concise updates to our customers
- Investigate and follow up on delayed requests
- Maintain a high level of team participation and coverage, including team development, team projects, and knowledge transfer within the team
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement and learning opportunities and activities
- Identify opportunities to update training and process documents
- Adhere to standard business processes
Required Qualifications*
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience providing customer service
- Intermediate level proficiency with data entry and computer skills
- 1+ years of experience with business software solutions
