This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
This is a Full-time position in ST Clair, MI, however, please expect receiving calls from a 952-area code in case you are considered. Relocation assistance is not provided. Compensation : $29.91 with a shift differential of $0.60

- Responsible for the operation and inspections of forklift and unloading dock related equipment
- Operator care and preventative maintenance of packaging and palletizer equipment not covered by maintenance team
- Must learn and apply all applicable Standard Operating Procedures related to Safety, FSQR and Processing
- Responsible to perform and document completion of assigned Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) tasks
- Comply to company’s Good Manufacturing Practices at all times
- Know and understand finished product names and characteristics
- Clean, organize, and maintain work areas
- Constructively communicate with coworkers, customers, vendors, and contractors
- Perform tasks in a safe manner that will prevent injury to self and others
- Performs work in a cooperative, courteous, and efficient manner
- Must learn and perform applicable SAP and MII functions
- Must understand and abide by ST. Clair Union Contract and Employee Production Handbook
- Performs other related duties assigned by supervision, management, and lead Persons
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
- Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
- High School diploma or Equivalent
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Prior experience in production related work.
