Fulfills the mission of Norwich University by supporting the College of Graduate and Continuing Studies with professional and administrative tasks. Initiates and collaborates with a variety of stakeholders to improve processes and again efficiencies within the College and University. Develops and maintains working knowledge of CGCS and university policies, procedures, and organizational relationships.

Remote work schedule may be authorized.

Essential Functions

  • Provides guidance and overall support for various systems, tools, and workflows.
  • Identifies new challenges and problems and takes initiative to address and research possible solutions pro-actively.
  • Creates and maintains necessary documentation.
  • Maintains and continuously improves the CGCS faculty contracting process to include timely generation, delivery, collection, and permanent record of adjunct faculty and course developer contracts.
    • Processes and maintains all CGCS Adjunct Faculty records and onboarding.
    • Serves as first level of support between Academic Operations and Human Resources.
    • Assists with other Human Resources/payroll paperwork.
  • Enters data, runs reports, and manages data as needed.
  • Manages operational aspects of Norwich Pro to include fielding student, vendor, and instructor inquiries.
  • Provides administrative support within the registration system and learning management system for Norwich Pro.
  • Manages and maintains Acadeum course share offerings and process enrollment requests.
    • Provides first level of support to students and platform including term reporting duties and documentation.
  • Serves as liaison for the copyright process to ensure access and payment of course materials.
  • Participates in collaborative efforts to redesign business processes, implementing existing technology solutions to improve operational efficiencies within the College and University.
  • Serves as liaison between CGCS and ITS for Helpdesk ticket triage and university systems access related to onboarding and termination.

  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive or private information.
  • Communicates with employees, students, and others in a respectful and clear manner.
  • Serves on University committees, councils, workgroups, or other designated bodies as assigned.
  • Achieves, maintains proficiency in, and utilizes computers, telephones, and other job-related equipment, including related systems and software.
  • Speaks, reads, and writes in English.
  • Communicates by telephone, email, letter, in person, or other means or device.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent required
  • 2 years of relevant experience. Experience with online learning and higher education a plus.
  • Able to prioritize multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to self-direct, research as needed, and test potential solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook) required. Experience with Banner, Argos, Acadeum, Onbase, and Dynamic Forms preferred.
  • Able to sit, squat, reach, push, pull, and manipulate related equipment lift 15 pounds travel outdoors to various parts of the campus
  • Work some evening or weekend hours

Environmental Conditions

  • Indoor work at a computer workstation. Remote work.
  • Low level of exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes.
