This position is a 12-month Limited Term (LT) and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.

If you have permanent status and have passed probation, you have mandatory reinstatement rights into your former position/classification at the end of this LT appointment. You will be separated from state service if you have not had prior permanent or probationary civil service status. During this 12-month limited-term assignment, you may be entitled to receive health, dental, and vision benefits. You will also earn State Service and accrue monthly leave credits.

The Mobile Source Regulatory Development Branch is seeking a half-time Office Technician to join a team of scientists, engineers, and specialists helping to reduce harmful emissions from heavy-duty trucks.

We are looking for an organized, professional Office Technician to provide organizational, logistical and administrative support. Under direction of the Branch Chief, the Office Technician will provide varied support to the Branch Chief and staff. Duties will include the following:

  • Under supervision by the Branch Chief, manage the administrative details of the various sections within the branch to ensure that coordination with the Division Office, the Executive Office, other agencies, and regulated industries occurs properly and on time. Coordinate key meetings, activities, projects, deadlines and inquiries with the Branch Chief.
  • Schedule meetings and reserve conference lines and meeting rooms.
  • Proofread and format correspondence, briefing documents, presentations, budget change proposals and all other materials submitted by staff for Branch Chief review and approval.
  • Track and properly route assignments received by the Division Office, Executive Office and or Legislative Office to appropriate branch staff in coordination the Branch Cheif.
  • Review and maintain confidential materials for the Branch Chief and managers.
  • Serve as the primary communications liaison with administrative staff in other branches and division offices, Executive Office, Leg Office, Agency, Legislature and Governor Office. Track and log all incoming materials such as time sheets, travel expense claims, training requests and Legislative bill reviews, and correspondence that require Branch Chief review and approval.
  • Coordinate all in state and out of state travel for the Branch Chief and managers.
  • Process travel expense claims for the Branch Chief and managers.

Pay: $1,804.50 – $2,326.00 per month
