Your role

Demonstrates through behavior AdventHealth’s Core Values of Quality &amp Service Excellence, Community Well-Being, High Ethical Standards, Stewardship, and Inclusiveness as outlined in the organization’s Professional Practice Model.

• Performs properly and legibly documents in accordance with department policy. Documents in telemetry logbook.

• Continuously observes monitors.

• Recognizes and documents normal EKG patterns. Recognizes abnormal patterns and notifies nursing staff promptly. Maintains telemetry printout during cardiac arrest and as indicated.

• Maintains monitor alarms per policy. Verifies that monitor alarms are set and audible every shift. Troubleshoots monitors as needed.

• Participates in practice changes as a result of performance improvement activities. Demonstrates accurate documentation and monitoring of activities as needed. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.

• Follows CDC isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs handwashing according to policy and enforces safety regulations.

• Exhibits desire to learn and upgrade skills. Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department or unit.

• If in a clinical setting or have patient contact, include reference to the age of patients served age/years.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

• Successfully complete Virtual Patient Observation training.

• Monitor technician experience or successful completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.

• Knowledgeable of medical terminology

• Computer and typing skills

• Organizational skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE _:_

• High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
