Job Title: Manager Meter to Cash

Job Code: 106616

Job Summary

Meter to Cash is an organization within the NiSource Gas Distribution Segment responsible for working collaboratively with our business partners to develop, implement and execute over 100 million customer transactions annually.

Meter to Cash consists of the following teams: Meter Reading and Field Collections Customer Billing: Payment Processing: Revenue Recovery and Printing and Inserting. Teams are located throughout the NiSource Gas Distribution territory.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Effective programs that demonstrate continuous improvement and customer focus
  • Successful daily execution of customer transactions to achieve company goals
  • Continued improvement in performance management, coaching, and development plans
  • Execution on key performance metrics
  • Continued improvement in employee engagement
  • Execution of process changes related to customer roadmap and continued execution of change initiatives
  • Effective project and contractor management
  • Develop and maintain a culture of safety and inclusion &amp diversity
  • Drive functional consistency, process standardization and operational excellence
  • Implement programs that drive sustained improvements in customer experience for Meter to Cash processes
  • Determine and evaluate strategic issues. Recommend strategic alternatives and develop strategy plans.
  • Provide input and information used in state and federal regulatory proceedings
  • Consult with Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Integrations Center, Field Operations, Gas Transportation, IT and other necessary internal/external entities regarding projects, initiatives, and issues
  • Execute and lead change initiatives
  • Manage and monitor workload to ensure goals are achieved while supporting quality and training initiatives
  • Maintain and build effective, cross functional working relationships across NiSource.
  • Develop and execute on coaching and performance management plans
  • Develop skilled and engaged team members and leaders
  • Manage multiple projects and team participation at various stages of development concurrently
  • Ensure the timely delivery of department projects within scope and budget
  • Manage department budgets
  • Manage contractors and vendors
  • Manage the Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing for the assigned Meter to Cash function

Required Qualifications for Position

  • Bachelors Degree or comparable industry related work experience
  • Knowledge in Meter to Cash, customer experience, commercial or other customer focused processes
  • Proven leadership experience and ability
  • Experience with project planning and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, communicate, and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement
  • Proven track record of achieving results
  • Proven ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload
  • Recognize strategic implications of problems and issues
  • PC software proficiency (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Proven ability to work across departments and all levels in the organization collaboratively to resolve issues, drive projects to closure, achieve desired results/goals, and/or implement change as needed.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation and listening communication skills

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

  • Knowledge of Meter to Cash operations and technology including Customer Information Systems, meter reading technologies, and printing/postage software programs
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations governing Meter to Cash processes
  • Working knowledge of Field Operations, Integration Center, Customer Contact Centers, and Regulatory
  • Budget management

Salary Range:

$107,000.00 – $160,500.00
