Marketing & Social Media Assistant

The Marketing &amp Social Media Assistant will promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of social media, multi-media platforms, logos, and other promotional products. Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with sales or marketing representatives to fully understand product and communication needs
• Oversees the company’s interactions with the public through implementing content strategies on social media platforms (including FB, IG, YouTube, LinkedIn)
• Analyzes engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions and planning digital campaigns to build community online
• Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique
• Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia
• Presents design ideas and recommendations to marketing manager, committee, or sales team
• Creates and coordinates multimedia packages
• Composes draft speeches for senior management and assists with finalizing speeches
• Schedules and develops film scripts and production
• Evaluates success of campaigns when completed
• Attends company events, trade shows and community fairs and staffs the company booth as a brand ambassador
• Assists on other areas of Marketing such as digital adverting, print, radio, tv, etc.
• Other projects and duties may be assigned by the Marketing Manager

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations
• Proficiency with creating and managing social media campaigns, including campaign conceptualization, audience targeting and performance analysis
• Experience with managing/updating company websites w/ fluency in CMS platforms including (or similar to) WordPress, Wix, Shopify, Webflow, etc.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite or related software
• Willingness and ability to perform all required duties and additional duties as needed
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field preferred
• Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience with multi-media content campaigns, including short-form video, social media marketing concepts and content creation
