Lincoln City Libraries is looking to hire a Full-Time (40 hours per week) Library Service Associate. This position will work in our Support Services Department, located in Bennett Martin Public Library (136 South 14th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508). Normal work schedule will be 9am-6pm Monday-Friday (1 hour meal break).

The Support Services Department and Lincoln City Libraries provide excellent customer service both internally and externally in “behind the scenes” roles with the goal of getting library materials into the hands of customers accurately and efficiently. This position places orders for library materials, receives items, uploads on-order records to the integrated library system catalog, and prepares materials for processing. Additional responsibilities include updating fund expenditures in the integrated library system and processing library material invoices for payment.

Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special Requirements

Qualifications : High school graduate or equivalent and six months of experience in providing customer service to the public or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
