Job Description : Basic Qualifications:
  • Problem-solving and communication skills
  • Independent decision-making abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of Alma and other library processes and resources
  • Extensive knowledge of the University Libraries systems, policies, procedures and referral information for library users
  • Skilled in triaging library questions to relevant staff members
  • Experience with library customer service skills, problem solving, and handling difficult situations.

Work hours: Monday-Friday, hours TBD

Pay rate: $17.50/hour

Typical Duties:
  • Plan, design, and create library programs and displays work across departments to create social media promoting library programs.
  • Coordinate workflow of student workers in absence of supervisor
  • Assist with training of new student employees and creating training materials.
  • Provide back-up staffing for desks, as needed.
  • Provide virtual reference services to the university community through LibAnswers
