Job Description : The North Dakota Advanced Agriculture Technology Engine, a collaborative endeavor between key private and public stakeholders across North Dakota, has been selected as an inaugural awardee for the U.S. National Science Foundations (NSF) Regional Innovation Engines competition.
Reporting to the NDSU Core Lead (Assoc Director, ND Agricultural Experiment Station), this position
will manage AgTech ecosystem development and engagement, and facilitate activities that support ideation through to market launch, with a strategic focus on solving food insecurity. The ideal candidate will possess a robust entrepreneurial mindset, a zeal for innovation, and the capability to lead diverse teams in a dynamic ecosystem.
This position is funded through an initial 2-yr, $15M National Science Foundation (NSF) Cooperative Agreement with an anticipated award up to 10 years and $160M.
The role is a position at North Dakota State University, as the lead organization for the program.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.

Schedule: 40 hours/week (M-F: regular hours 8am-5pm, summer/winter break hours 7:30am-4pm)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, product management, or a related field
  • Proven experience in product management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Leadership ability with a focus on fostering open communication and collaboration within diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with the following:
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Market Research and Continuous Improvement
  • Ideation, Prototyping, and Market Testing
  • Roadmap Development and Strategic Implementation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in AgTech or a related industry
  • Leadership experience in a learning and innovative environment
  • Alignment with the FARMS Innovation Corridor Framework
