Job Description : Position Overview:
As the Human Resources Assistant, you are responsible for the high-level support of Shared Services department by enhancing their effectiveness and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Suite such as inventory management/supply ordering, filing, faxing, copying, mailings and internal company bulletin board updates
  • Sorting and distributing departmental mail and assist with paycheck sorting and distribution
  • Completing employment verification, wage verification requests, and general requests from various state agencies and sources
  • Maintaining the Human Resources filing area including but not limited to appropriate storage of active files, archiving terminated files, keeping a neat and clean area etc.
  • Assisting with department sponsored events and special projects as needed
  • Greeting internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and assisting with their needs/requests informing appropriate parties of their arrivals
  • Maintaining professionalism and confidentiality practices regarding company information
  • Prioritizing and managing multiple tasks simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met accordingly
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Environment:
  • Warehouse Office – approx. 65F – 70F
Schedule:
  • Monday – Friday
  • Standard Business Hours
Experience:
  • Preferred: Two (2) years technical experience – Office Management/Administration
  • Preferred: Proficiency in office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace etc
Skills:
  • Physical abilities: Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc.
  • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill executive directions in a timely manner ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player
  • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives
  • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
