JOB PURPOSE:

A Human Resources Coordinator must be an excellent communicator, able to foster relationships with both employees and external vendors. With a primary focus on enhancing HR processes, the HR Coordinator is tasked with executing a wide range of duties that underpin the HR departments functionality. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing employee records, assisting with payroll processing, coordinating training sessions, and administering benefits. This role requires an exceptional communicator who is detail-oriented and possesses a keen understanding of HR procedures, and best practices.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Reconciles benefits statements.
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Assist in the entire recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and facilitating the candidate selection process.
  • Engage in background checks and reference verifications for potential employees.
  • Conduct employee orientation sessions to familiarize new hires with organizational policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Manage offboarding processes for exiting employees, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related inquiries or requests.
  • Maintain both hard and electronic copies of employee records.
  • Maintains responsibility/accountability for 24-hour day management.
  • Assist in payroll processing by providing the payroll department with accurate employee data.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and queries from employees.
  • Communicates ideas effectively. Shares information and keeps others properly informed. Gives, and is open to useful feedback.
  • Assist in preparation and execution of orientation and training plans with the Clinical Educator.
  • Facilitate communication among employees and management, addressing any employment relations issues.
  • Prepare and maintain reports related to specific HR projects and metrics.
  • Analyze data to inform HR strategies and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies through regular audits and by recommending corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, registration and OIG.
  • Assists with additional HR task as requested.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of previous HR, Customer Service, Staffing and/or Recruiting experience required.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer focused attitude.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and healthcare regulations.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
