Housekeeper – 1st Shift – 7am -330pm
The Housekeeper is responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing care environment. While executing the assigned tasks, the housekeeper will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Responsible for timely room turns relate to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention.
$3k Sign on Bonus available for eligible new hire.
Job Description
- Responsible for daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment as assigned and other common areas of assignment.
- Follows all infection prevention practices (i.e., proper cleaning and disinfection protocols and process hand hygiene, standard & isolation precautions, as well as proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Removes waste and transports to the appropriate disposal area while identifying proper waste streams handling (i.e., regulated medical, recycle, solid, and hazardous)
- Provides basic training to new or other housekeeping members as assigned.
- Reports any unsafe conditions and/or repairs needed in a timely manner
Requirements
- Must have ability to read, write, and follow written or verbal instructions.
Preferred Requirements
- 1 – 2 years of Customer Service, 1 – 2 years of Hospitality, and/or 1 – 2 years of housekeeping experience
