OVERVIEW
The Group Account Director is responsible for mentoring, training, and aiding in the development of the Account Management team. The Group Account Director supports communication efforts through overseeing and ensuring delivery of communication services and products across multiple projects within assigned client partner teams. The Group Account Director is involved in client strategy, campaign development, and assists in forecasting, budgeting, and reconciliation efforts. They assist with and build client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through high levels of performance achievement and appropriate expectation setting.

The Group Account Director is involved in client strategy, campaign development, and assists in forecasting, budgeting, and reconciliation efforts. They assist with and build client relationships and ensure client satisfaction through high levels of performance achievement and appropriate expectation setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Leadership:
- Act as the Team Lead on the Account Management team and mentor to ensure they understand, meet and exceed client needs and expectations on a day-to-day basis
- Exhibit to staff and clients a knowledge of the energy industry, marketing and communications field, as well as topics that are of vital importance to clients
- Maintain open and informative communication across all facets of the business
Client Management:
- Maintain and improve client relationships
- Help establish and maintain client expectations based on business goals and objectives
- Ensure that client satisfaction is achieved on all project deliverables
- Liaise with clients on a periodic basis to ascertain strategic direction
- Provide client with business solutions and demonstrate expertise in strategic communications development in the energy space
- Serve as escalation point for team and clients
Project Management:
- Liaise with internal teams to inform the development and coordination of logistical components of program development, execution, and budget management as appropriate
- Lead internal teams to ensure project timelines are met, quality of work is high, and communication is clear and fluid, with all parties understanding their roles
- Attend internal meetings with strategy, client services, and other key personnel to discuss project input and status
- Ensure the highest standards of quality control of client materials and, as appropriate, develop best practices protocols for project teams to facilitate quality control and consistency
Finance:
- Helps guide, inform and manage project budgets to thoroughly inform projections, reconciliation, and forecasting to meet organizational and account goals
- Provides periodic budget status updates and communication with leadership and client partners as warranted
- Works collaboratively with all parties informing or impacting project budgets to ensure thorough and accurate budget projections and management

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related subject
- 8+ years of experience in direct client/brand account management within a creative agency
- Must have experience being the principal client liaison managing the relationship
- Experience leading at least 2-3 team members
- Experience required in managing a large book of business
- Desire to be hands on with client deliverables
- Ability to travel required 10% for client meetings
- In-house agency experience a plus
- 1+ years of experience in the energy space a plus

- The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate’s compensation will be determined based on his or her skills, experience, and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
- The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,900 – $261,500.
